This is my 100th blog post. Yay!!!
I want to thank all of you who have continued to read my posts over the past 18 months.
If you’ve been reading my blog from the beginning, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve written about everything from foreign adoption, to living on a budget (which I suck at).
Lately though, I’ve settled on writing about the two things that dominate my life, raising a large family and homeschooling my six kids. There are so many things that I’ve learned through experience the past few years, that I can’t help but share.
Here’s what I’m talking about. These two articles are great examples of what you can expect from now on. One is about homeschooling and the other is about parenting.
- Is She Falling Behind – is about a crisis of confidence that my daughter suffered last fall, concerning her homeschool education, and how we dealt with it.
- My 7 Worst Parenting Mistakes (So Far) – All parents make mistakes, they are unavoidable, the important thing is to learn from them.
I think that I may have finally found my niche. Something I actually know a little bit about. Therefore, the vast majority of my next 100 articles will be about homeschooling, parenting large families, or both. So, if that’s what interests you, stick around. My six kids have provided me with an endless stream of lessons for me to share.
If you aren’t particularly interested in the subject matter in my posts I understand. It’s not exactly the largest niche in the blogosphere. But then again, maybe you’ll find out just how entertaining (yeah, I’ll go with that word) life with six kids can be.
For Those Of You Who Are My Peeps
I want to continue to bring interesting and useful information your way for as long as I can. But seriously! To do that, I need your help. You may remember that I started this blog as a way of earning a bit of extra income for my family. Well, after 18 months, and 100 blog posts, I have earned exactly $15.50. Thanks Mike.
Don’t feel sorry for me though. It’s kind of funny, and to be honest, I haven’t really pushed sales. In fact, many of you might not even realize that I even have stuff to sell. But I do, and if you want to purchase something from my store, who am I to stand in your way!
If you enjoy reading Daddy Go To Timeout and want to somehow support us, you don’t have to buy anything. Instead, you can help spread the word, which is free.
We Need More Eyes
There are two ways a blog like ours gains readers. One is for us to purchase ads on facebook and other social media. This can be fairly hit or miss. The second is for our readers to spread the word. This can be super effective and honestly, I love the idea of growing our blog through a grass roots following.
Here’s how you can help:
First: Enter the contest below to possibly win a free Daddy Go To To Timeout baseball shirt and mug! There are all sorts of things that you can do to earn more entries, which improve your odds of winning!
After That – Share this blog with as many people as you can. Just go back to the top of this page and click the Facebook Share button.
Before you do that though, I just want to thank all of you guys for reading our blog. You are the best!
Here’s the contest!
